A newly opened nightclub in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates’ city of superlatives, now lets guests drive their precious supercars right into its party space for the one-time price of 10,000 dirham (about US$2,700). For a city that is obsessed with ultra-luxury cars, it is a little surprising it hadn’t been done until now.
Secret Room opened in September in the basement of FIVE Palm Jumeirah, a five-star hotel on Dubai’s famous man-made, tree-shaped Palm Jumeirah island.
Only “Super VIP” guests who have paid the entry fee are allowed the privilege of rolling into the elite club while sitting at the wheel of their cars. Those arriving on foot make a less dramatic entrance, through a separate, graffiti-covered corridor.
Secret Room is open three days a week – Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Reservations have to be made in advance on +971 58 869 8996, and the “carefully selected guests” who make the list must submit to fingerprint identification upon entry.
The club’s official Instagram account (@secretroomdubai) has already posted quite a few photos of its patrons with their luxury cars, including a Rolls-Royce and a Ferrari 488 GTB.
