DDF was one of the first clinical brands, and spokesman Brian Sinder says that DDF combines active ingredients and biochemicals to take a 'holistic approach'. It uses plant-based elements to create products that cleanse, protect and treat. Other ingredients include three types of vitamin C, retinol and an antioxidant plant extract called lutein.
Sinder says that it usually takes a few weeks before you'll see any improvements. 'It's very simple - cleanse, protect and treat,' he says. 'And use a sunscreen.' The sunscreen contains 11 different anti-oxidant ingredients that trigger cells to become more energetic, DD says. The range includes Anti- Ageing Preventative and Restorative, Acne/Blemish, Sensitive/Allergic, Body/Sun and Hyperpigmentation.
What about the products?
There's Silky C serum (HK$690/30ml, below), which is said to nourish cells with antioxidants and contains soy to increase skin firmness. Magnesium ascorbyl phosphate is said to help inhibit melanin production to lessen sun damage while lutein prevents cell damage. Dramatic Radiance TRF Cream (HK$990/48gm) is a lightweight anti-ageing moisturiser that revives fatigued skin. Salicylic Wash (HK$290/250ml) regulates excessive oil production and prevents blocked pores. Daily Organic SPF15 (HK$350/48gm) for sensitive skin gives strong free-radical protection.
